Dr. Veronica Montes, M.A., Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive expertise in educational and mental health evaluations and services. She is adept at assessing students in educational settings and patients in clinical environments. Her assessment expertise is rooted in her earlier career as a credentialed special education teacher, where she conducted achievement testing. This experience, combined with her psychological training, has made her an expert in identifying learning differences and an effective member of her patients' IEP teams. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents, using her skills and experience to build rapport and effectively support their developmental needs. In addition to her work with school-aged children, she has extensive experience evaluating and treating adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

As a Latina and bilingual Spanish-speaking psychologist, Dr. Montes brings profound empathy and cultural and linguistic understanding to her work. She is committed to serving culturally and linguistically diverse populations, ensuring that her approach is both inclusive and sensitive to individual needs. Dr. Montes is also dedicated to graduate student training, enjoying the process of teaching doctoral students about differential diagnosis. She guides them in creating psychological diagnostic batteries and administering and interpreting tests, thereby shaping the next generation of psychologists.

Education: Dr. Montes holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She also attained a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior.
