Dr. Irma Ocegueda is a child, adolescent, and family psychologist with a passion for helping families whose kids experience a wide variety of behavioral, learning, and emotional challenges. Dr. Ocegueda has provided individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and parents utilizing evidence-based approaches and trauma informed interventions. Dr. Ocegueda’s training includes conducting developmental and psychological assessments to determine services that children need to support developmental, learning, and mental health needs. She has expertise in various evidenced-based practices, including certification as an Incredible Years (IY) Parenting Group and Social Skills Group facilitator, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) clinician and trainer, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) clinician and supervisor, Reflective Parenting Program (RPP) certified group facilitator, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) certified therapist. Dr. Ocegueda has a passion for empowering parents and educators to appropriately respond to children and youth’s emotional and behavioral needs while also fostering a positive parent-child/educator-student relationship. Dr. Ocegueda is committed to collaborating with educators and mental health providers (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers, family therapists, counselors) to best support children across all settings.
